Home Site Info Rules & InfoValid Xbox Live Accounts Only!
In order to be an active member on BOTN, you must have a valid Xbox Live account and gamertag. Anyone who doesnt have this will be denied entry to competitions and will not have shoutbox / forum privileges as we are first and foremost a gaming community.Code of Conduct
Back of the Net is a game based forum that is here for the enjoyment of all members. We place great value on the community feel that we have worked hard to build and our members play together and compete together on a range of activities with Pro Evolution Soccer at the centre of our site. In order to protect the community we have a series of rules that are designed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our members:- Swearing: The forums are protected by a swear filter which changes banned words and if someone is found trying to get around this, they will be warned by an admin / moderator. Any swearing in the shoutbox is automatically filtered and the offenders will receive an automatic ban, with the length of time extending each time the person offends.
- Threatening Behaviour: One incident, 1 hour ban, 2 incidents, 24 hour ban, on the third incident of threatening behaviour the offender will be removed from all competitions and banned from the site
- Racism: 1 incident = 24 hour site ban, 2 incidents will lead to permanent exclusion
- Personal Abuse: Warnings and bans ranging from 5 minutes to a week as the admin sees fit
- Quitters and Time Wasters: To be issued with yellow cards and a loss of shoutbox privileges for persistent offenders.
League & Cup repalcements / qualification
- You must have played 10 games or more to qualify for a open league spot:
- If a spot becomes available during a season then the reserve member that is at the top of the reserve ladder is first in line for the place!
Warnings
- Red & Yellow card information:
- We operate a very fair code of conduct on Back of the Net (BOTN). Any serious breaches of this code of conduct may be rewarded with a yellow card. If you receive a total of four yellow cards you will receive a red card which will result in your instant removal from all competitions and a site ban
- Each time you complete a season a yellow card will be removed from your profile if you have any.
Game Arranging
- Co-op matches should not be recorded on site unless both parties agree to it before play.
- All games should be arranged through the BOTN fixture arranging section found in your account dropdown. Each post should leave a possible time where your opponent can confirm or deny that the game will be played. It is your prerogative to arrange the games and your league admin will arrange the game based on what he sees in the posts. If a game is pooled against you there will be no room for negotiation unless there is evidence in the posts.
- Rank Ups can be organised through the shoutbox, PMs and Forums.
- If a member is not replying to you after a reasonable amount of time then you can PM them or contact your league admin and ask them to investigate.

To turn of your notifications press the xbox guide button then go to personal settings then select notifications and de-selct "show notifications" - Players hosting a game must do everything they can in order to reduce lag for the other player, such as turning off msn messenger or unplugging any PC from the connection, logging off the internet etc. Players found not adhering to this may be issued with a yellow card.
- Game conditions such as fine weather and playing on smaller stadiums can help reduce lag and should be used in all games.
- If the lag is found to be unbearable, the players MUST disconnect at the earliest time possible. Any goals scored in the subsequent time will be counted. Its is your responsibility to disconnect if the lag is too bad for you.
- Any time remaining after the disconnection will be played again and the scores followed on (Example: If I disconnect with the scores 1-1 in the 47th minute, we will replay the second half on my opponents server from 1-1).
League Play
- A new fixture (home and away) is released every 4-5 days
- Players are expected to play their games within the 4-5 day period
- All fixtures to be arranged through the forums
- If you know you can not play within this timeframe your league admin and opponents should be informed
- All results to be entered as soon as possible on the main site.
Tournament Play
- You must play legs per fixture and take the aggregate score
- In two-legged matches, one game is played at each contestant's home ground, and the winner is determined by the aggregate score (i.e. the scores of both games are added together).
- If both teams have scored the same number of goals, then you will have to play a 5 minute match with extra time and penalties on. The host will be of the player who hosted the 1st leg. If the score is still level overall then a penalty shootout decides which team advances.
- The overall winner of both games will submit the AGGREGATE score into the system
